You have a Bachelor's degree in a science related field of study or extensive micro laboratory/brewing experience (Preferred degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cereal Science, Microbiology, Food Science, Agronomy, and Chemical Engineering).
You have at least 6 months experience (negotiable) in quality related processes. I would be open to college graduates looking for experience and their first opportunity.
You have knowledge of the principles and techniques of microbiology and chemistry
You exhibit knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrument maintenance, calibration and trouble shooting
You have working knowledge of statistical methods and computer skills
Position is for third shift (10P-630A) and some mandatory weekend OT
Responsibilities:
Performs, interprets and evaluates chemical and microbiological analyses
Monitors trends and summarizes analytical and microbiological information
Monitors, calibrates, and maintains laboratory equipment and ensures appropriate levels of quality supplies
Facilitates quality improvement and problem solving
