Inventory Control Associate

San Antino, TX
The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for monitoring warehouse/plant inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and are reflective of systematic reported inventory. The Inventory Control Associate will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct reviews and assessments, utilizing software to evaluate product inventories, measuring, and weighing products, maintaining records, opening and re-packaging shipments, organizing products according to protocols, locating lost goods, and reporting inconsistent or damaged goods.
  • Cycle count materials based on the "ABC” grouping system.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
  • Perform clerical and support tasks to ensure that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel
  • Investigate inventory overages/shortages, cycle count discrepancies, and locate missing inventory
  • Analyze and verify inventory audit counts for established cycle count parameters and unscheduled request
  • Perform a variety of complex problem solving and/or analytical activities in support of resolving inventory variances, document findings and report any deviations
  • Analyze and perform accurate resolution to inventory variances using related various system records (receipts, purchase orders, manufacturing work orders, production transactions, and customer maintenance records)
  • Maintain documentation for scheduled audits for reporting and review by management, as well as internal and external auditors
  • Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate's degree
  • At least 1 year of materials management experience OR
  • At least 2 years of materials management experience
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current client employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Client does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Software (WMS)
